The Dream of This Ginger is Alive in Portland

With Ryan's job, we like to fly a lot. Mostly up the coast for cool day trips in different states. And this past summer, we went to Portland. For me, it was the first time in almost a decade, and the first time I had been as an adult making my own plans. It was incredibly exciting. Neither of us knew the city well, so it was an adventure to get off a plane and just explore to our content. And I fell in love.

Luckily, so did Ryan! We loved the climate, the people, the donuts, the easy public transit, and basically everything. It is all good. Ever since then, we've talked about moving there. And the other day we put a deadline on it. Three years. Seems like a long time from now, but I think it's gonna go by fast. We don't wanna rush. Obviously there's things like jobs we have to be concerned about. But I think we can do it. So this begins the countdown to Portland: 1,095 days to go!
